Minister to Students

Jacob Harris

706-754-4870 ext. 103

Jacob was born in Memphis, TN, and grew up in northeast Mississippi. He received Christ at the age of 14 during a revival meeting at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Independence, MS.  A few years later at the age of 17, Jacob answered God’s call on his life to preach the gospel. He spent the next years preparing for this call.  Jacob had the opportunity to serve as a Baptist Student Union semester missionary in Minneapolis, MN before attending Mississippi College where he met his beautiful wife Kelli.  While at Mississippi College he also led worship at a local student ministry.  After graduation Jacob and Kelli moved to Memphis, TN to attend Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary where he served in a church as a Minister of Evangelism and Missions and then as a Minister to Students for 4 years.  Jacob and Kelli have been married since 2001 and have 2 beautiful little girls, Jani Grace and Juli Faith.

FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE: “Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever." (Psalm 86:11-12)

FAVORITE GOSPEL SONG: I'm not too sure about this one, but I really like Shane & Shane and Hillsong United.

FAVORITE MOVIE: The Princess Bride (don't laugh, it's a great movie)

HOBBIES: guitar, basketball, tennis, & fishing

JACOB'S PRAYER REQUEST: “That Christ would be pre-eminent in all things” (Colossians 1:18)
