Dr. McCarty served as the Southern Baptist Convention’s Chief Parliamentarian for over 35 years and now fills the new role as Professor of Rhetoric and Communication at Truett McConnell University. He also serves as dean of Truett’s new School of Communications.
 
McCarty, who has acquired more than 600 platform hours at the Southern Baptist Convention, began his nationally known tenure as parliamentarian in 1986 under the presidency of Dr. Charles Stanley. During that time, he simultaneously took on the role as President of Cincinnati Christian University, achieving regional accreditation by the Northern Central Association, and spent 22 years pastoring four congregations in Georgia, Ohio, and Texas.
 
The Atlanta native received his Bachelors in Biblical Studies from Mid-Atlantic Christian University, his Masters in Speech Communication from Abilene Christian University, and his PhD in Rhetoric and Argumentation with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh.
 
Dr. McCarty and his wife, Pat, live in Clarkesville.

Matthew hails from the booming metropolis of Auburn, GA. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He has been serving in local church ministry for 32 years. He and his wife, Jennifer have been married 29 years and have 2 children, Bryson and Brianna. Matthew loves movies, cooking, reading, and motorcycle riding!

Graham is a Duluth, GA native and a Toccoa Falls College grad. He's currently working towards his masters at Moody Bible Institute. He's been a part of Bethlehem Baptist Church for six years and joined the staff in 2022. He and his wife, Ariel, have been married for one year and currently live in Clarkesville along with their Aussiedoodle, Chelsea. Graham enjoys reading, watching sports, and cooking.

Kimberly grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with her undergraduate degree in Child and Family Development and graduate degree in Elementary Education. She has served at Bethlehem Baptist since fall 2021. She and her husband, Clint, have been married for 16 years. They have two children, Julianna and Ethan. Kimberly enjoys camping with her family, playing her violin at church, and spending time with her dogs.
